Hi Everyone
Here are some more of my boxes, these are of the first series of 8 I ever made, I made my first box, then made this series. 6 are shown here, all have dove tail joints, made on a store bought jig. Each has a different kind of lid, and 3 out of the 8 where a bit wider. They where all given away as presents to family and friends. All where made from pallet wood, not sure of the kind of wood. They all have just luon bottoms glued and tacked to the bottom with brass nails. Some have solid brass hinges, the rest the lid just sits on top. Not too fancy, or sporting any of the advanced features of my more recent work, but thought you all my like to see them. Thanks for looking

Very nice work. Boxes are something that I really would like to build. I have a Porter Cable jig that I got several years ago but I have been afraid to use it. Actually, I am afraid of messing up good wood. I hate to waste good wood. Perhaps I will try my hand at some recycled wood from some pallets. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Nice boxes. I just picked up a couple of pallets and now I have a project for the wood. This will give a great opportunity to practice dovetails.

Thank you guys for your nice comments, they mean a great deal to me, the motivation aspect of woodworking is very important, especially when it comes to all that hand sanding.
Hi Randy, the jig I used was a porter-cable, had to go out to the barn to double check, it’s 5 degrees out there, that’s even too cold for me to do any work, so I am trying just to stay warm today, thanks for asking.
