I’m just not sure about this picture. I liked it until I added color, then I put the Polycrylic on it too soon & blended the colors together. Now the wave just really doesnt stand out. I don’t know if I like it or not.
You learn from your mistakes :) This is done on Red Cedar and measures 11” x 13”

Looks pretty good to me.
What did you use for coloring?

Buildings at the edge of outcropped cliffs are mysterious. If the colors were too separated and the details too contrasting, I think it would look too austere.

I think the wave stands out just enough to be noticed, but not distract the viewer from the rest of the piece.

I really like the way this came out.

I like it! It seems to have a sepia tone to the background and the muted colors looks almost like the old hand-tinted photographs. Is there a place I could see more closeups of the details?

I like it lots!
Lots for the eye to see as it travels the picture and stays within the view. So many cool details and an atmosphere too. The colors are interesting and adds to the unique art piece.

extraordinary.. wow.
I agree with the above feedback – the wave creates a frame that enhances the cliff rather than challenging the viewer for attention.
Amazing work.

Thanks..I use Acrylic paint for the colors, but I try to keep it thinned down so its more of a wash.
I’m glad you all like it….I’m still Iffy though
