My Neighbor has twin nephews and for their Birthday, she wanted me to make them a couple of toy airplanes. They are made out of some QSWO and Walnut that I had in the scrap bin and finished off with a couple coats of shellac. They turned out pretty well considering I had never made a toy airplane before! I left to pilots loose in the cockpit so that they can be moved around as needed.

Nice! Like the detail of the motors – not too little, not too much. What’s the white bit on the front?

Thanks for the positive comments… The white bit on the front is what holds the prop in place….think I should make it a bit darker as well??

Thanks Tom
I still have to carve a couple of pilot dudes for the cockpit and they should be ready for many years of flying!
