This table is comprised of lyptus for the top and recycled legs. It is first finished with Seal-A-Cell (a product about which I cannot say enough good things), then covered with (there are teenage boys in the home) a 2-part polymer which took a few tries to get right. This thing is stout. Please feel free to post questions about the materials or process. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the polymer again, but it took some tweaking.
The wainscoting behind the table is another project; poplar and pine. This was a fun project, and with the help of some biscuits, came out much easier than I originally expected.
Here’s the link for how I did the wainscoting:

Nice looking table. I like the wainscoting – very clean and crisp.

Great table, love the finish on the top, the black legs and apron make the Lyptus too great. Nice choice.

Very beautiful. It took me a few trys before learning how to use the polymer but I like it a lot.
