Hi,

Decided cutting boards should be more versatile. Can’t stand the idea of cutting on some of these boards.

I combined the “Little Tables” project with the “Woven” cutting board project. Is this a good idea? My wife loves each project individually but not the “combined” project. She thinks it’s “too busy”. I think it’s interesting and fascinating.

What do you think?

Wow, very nice. If your wife doesn’t like it send it to mine! Taken it to the next level my friend. I think this is very special and should make a new craze on LJ’s

No, it is not “too busy”. It is very attractive and shows real craftsmanship. Very cool. Thanks for posting.

Well, if she doesn’t care for it, I guess you have an amazing piece to set your coffee on in the shop!

Maybe try making the base a bit simpler and see if she likes that? Think: Simple apron and legs with straightforward joinery to keep the focus on the top. Maybe she’d like something more like that?

Bob: A great looking table. Just because she thinks that it’s too busy doesn’t mean that it’s not great.

Nicely done! Couldn’t bear to use it as a cutting board, though!

Hey Bob!
Very nice weave project. But I think it needs to be bigger.
Thanks for sharing.
