Project Information

I started this project during a two week workshop on chairmaking taught by Michael Fortune at Anderson Ranch. The back pieces were laminated using a vacuum press and then bubinga veneer was applied. The frame and front legs are ash with black milk paint applied. Making an upholstered seat is not that complicated but this was my first experience with upholstery so I learned a great deal.

I really like the shape to the back of this chair. Unusual and nicely made by the look of it. Excellent
