I’m slowly finding more time in my schedule to make unusual cutting boards…

These are the two most recent attempts.

They’re walnut, cherry, maple, and one tiny strip of padauk…

If I keep making unusual things like this, I’m probably going to have to invest in a drum sander… since I can’t flatten them with the planer… and flattening with the disc sander is… a pain.

-- I want to be a space ship when I grow up.

Those are cool. Nice work. I’m sure the glue up(s) was….fun. ;-)

Sweet. Looks like you are having fun.
I like the second one the best. The simple maple strip does it for me.

I would have to take the second board…the joints are 100% perfect , and I like the wood combo : )
