my wife was tired of seeing the dogs favorite blanket laying around the floor so decided to pick up a bed from walmart but there was a catch i had to build the frame for it. so outside to the shop i went and this is what i cam up with. made out of cedar and a clear coat of varnish on the outside only in hopes that the cedar scent will stay around. my little maggie just loves it.

That’s nice! I am glad that she took to it! i’d be afraid of going to the trouble then never seeing her in it -like the doghouse i built for my maggie!

-she likes the couch better!

Nice little bed for your girl. I have a Chlt Lab as well. Love here like a child. She has a bed on the floor next to my side of the bed and a bed in the family room as well. I think she hoping she gets one in the shop, but then again she seems to like lying in sawdust LOL Nice work.

Nice. Beautiful dog also. I thought about making something like this, I had thought about making it a low-profile type with a head board too. Nice work.

Nice, something like this would be perfect for me. My lab sleeps in the garage but is in the house while we are home. He always wants to lay under our feet while we watch TV. Looks like this low profile bed could easly be pushed under the couch while not in use. Great idea.
