Back before I was an average woodworker, when I was just a poorly skilled woodworker, I had this entertainment system built. The guy did a nice job, but I know if I did it now I’d do a better job. Anyways, in the new house I had to modify the one piece monolithic top, and the two upper side bookshelves. I think it turned out OK. Before and after pictures below.

Like the conversion from door fronts to drawers on the sides. The full overlays look nice. Storing CD/DVDs in there now?

Yup, those drawers are full of DVDs now. Drawers are much better than doors in almost all cases, in my opinion.
