Three of my grand daughters received American Girl type dolls for Christmas and ‘guess who’ was volunteered to make up doll beds. Used poplar for the wood and my Delta hollow chisel mortiser for the joinery. After doing the bunk bed I was informed that sometimes another doll had to be bedded for the night. That’s when I got smart and made a slide out trundle bed instead of making a new bed from scratch. My wife is busy making up mattresses and also said she’d paint them. I think the kids will be happy when they finally receive them. Turned out to be a little more challenging than I thought it would be.

Very nice job on the beds. I especially like the trundle. It appears that this has become another required Lumberjocks project particularly for us Grandpa Lumberjocks.
