A friend if mine hired me to help him replace his patio door. When I was finished trimming it out with some cedar boards he gave me the cutoffs and asked me to make him a corner shelf out of them. He showed me what he wanted them for and this is what I was able to come up with. The three jars contain soil from places his father was while serving in WWII. Finished with danish oil.

Firstly I am a bit slow on the uptake but Welcome to Ljs anyway.
What a neat idea for a small corner unit. It has that ‘little bit different’ going for it.

Nicely done. A fine tribute for a man, and his son!

Well done.
