I have made a lot of standard egg cups on my mini lathe and decided to change the design and not follow my template for a while. This one has a ridge on it to catch the run out of a soft boiled egg. It is made from spalted maple and finished with Mylands friction polish. I will also lacquer it for added protection so it is easy to clean up with hot water.

Wow … this tree is weary rare and fine.
This is not an egg cup, it’s an art cup ;-)
