Roll top desk built during a course at the local college. These are project-based courses, where everyone does production run work, and everyone gets to take one home at the end of the course. Made of red oak and red oak veneered particle core. This was the last course the instructor taught, he retired (for good this time) at 78 after this course was done. Hope I’m still woodworking at 78 as well as he was, plus he still has all 10 fingers. I learned a lot of “old school” stuff from him during this course.
Just need to stain and clearcoat, and install hardware before it’s completely done.
This course took every Saturday from the beginning of September right until Christmas, so I’d like to thank my wife & kids for their patience!

You are lucky to be able to get that level of instruction. I know you must have learned a lot.
Beautiful desk btw
