I’ve been reading this site for a while now. I’ve enjoyed the project section and the ideas that folks have given me.
I thought I’d post some of my work for your feedback, I can take it (I think)

These are two jewelry boxes that I made for my grand niece and a friend’s mother. Bodies are made from beetle kill lodge pole pine from Aspen. The butterfly top is Purple Heart and the salamander is sassafras

I think that your boxes are quite nice. I really like ithe inlay work on both. Well done.

Those are real beauts. The grain pattern on that third pic is incredible. I am a serious Gecko freak, and salamanders are a close second. Nicely done all around, miters are very well done.

Hey there, welcome to LJs. Well, for starters, this is very good! I love the inside of the lid of your salamander box!

Despite the tragedy that the beetles are causing … they sure do give us access to some beautiful wood, don’t they ?

Very nice project. Welcome to LumberJocks, and … thanks for sharing !
