A little piece in Box Elder I started a while ago and put aside for some reason I can’t remember. I gave a turning lesson last week and showed some of the stuff I had laying around. He wanted to know why I hadn’t finished this piece. Well I had no good reason and it prompted me to get busy. This is one that I got done. 2” high and 2 1/2” across with wipe on oil finish.

I make my own wipe on finish as I need it. 3 parts varnish ( I use Minwax Spar )
1 part boiled linseed oil and 1 part Naptha. Mixed in a small spice jar which is easy to clean out if and when it skins over.
Have your say...
