this was a nice easy project i like to keep them simple. nice storage a country look to it love seeing the grain on this white pine got some 16in boards out of this tree. the one pic shows a bullet in the wood only noticed it after it came out of the planer and thought i would leave it for a conversation piece.

great piece of furniture with a dual-purpose.it’s neat to mill your own lumber and see the end results.
i have done some milling in the past. you see that special piece wood and know it will be made into a special project.

Wow, you’re lucky that bullet didn’t nick your planer blades!

When I looked at the first photo I couldn’t determine the size. It might have been a small box sitting on a table. Then I realized it was on the floor, and much larger. The proportions work either way. Really nice design that would make an intriguing box if you had any material leftover for a miniature version.
