this pecky cypress parson’s style table i built for a couple i met thru a friend of mine they had an 1950’s era house they tore down in sarasota fl my friend told me i had 3 day’s with the house it was full of goody’s but the cypress was what i was really after the owner’s came in and after a few minutes they decided to have me build a table for them i tried to assure them pecky was awesome wood but it is probaly the last thing i would use for a food table green pea’s and mashed potato’s in the worm hole’s i did not convince them so they picked the board’s they wanted keep in mind this is only 3/4 stock so i built the table out of douglas fir with 1/4 inch steel braces and pretty much wrapped it with the cypress it’s the first thing you see as you enter their house they still haven;t put glass on it

Wow! I never would have thought to paint pecky cypress, but it gave a really cool contemporary feel to the piece. Good job!
