I turned some pen blanks down to 1/2” and then drilled a 1/2” hole into a contrasting color bigger piece of wood and glued them together. After letting them dry for a day, I put them onto the lathe and turned them together. After finishing them, a hook on the top made it easy to hang on a tree.
