My uncle gave me a nice birch burl, last november i have started making some blanks, and today i decided to make a bowl. You can see on one of the picture the size of the Burl, I have so many blanks, i will do bowls in many dimension, some boxes with cap, candeliers and some small bowl for potpouri. This bowl have 8”1/2 dia. X 4” high. finishing a mixe with abrasin oil, thinner and varnish. I hope my english is good.

Wow, there is some stunningly beautiful and flowing chatoyance within that birch!
I bet that just shimmers like a pool of water.

That’s very pretty figure. You almost hate to put something in the bowl and hide the character!

Has you can see the dimension of that burl, i have a lot of project in it, i will post other of them when the drying process of the blanks will be complete.
