Watching an epesode of Woodworking for Mere Mortals and it inspired me to make my first band saw box. Now I am out of control and I keep making them and people keep taking them and keep making them and then they are gone. When is it going to stop;-)

That’s a great idea. I haven’t seen one quite like that before. Nice job and welcome to LJ’s!

Great looking box.
Nice design.
I like the idea of felt on the bottom and back.
Welcome aboard. :)

I like your design here, very balanced and geometric.
One suggestion I’d make would be to cut in from the sides, cutting with the grain when you cut out your drawers. It’ll do two things for you:
1. Hide the cut line better.
2. Your glue-up will be stronger as you’ll be gluing either edge grain or flat grain, compared to gluing end grain as you’ve done with this box.

Hi
Welcome to LJ.s. Nice to see you enjoying bandsawn box making.
One question – how do you stop the drawers from rotating within the cabinet?

Welcome to LumberJocks. Wow you have hit on three very addictive things, Steve’s website, this forum and Bandsawn boxes. All of which are great addictions.
I like this box and hopefully you can get pictures of future ones before they disappear.

I’m also new to woodworking, having been doing it for about a year now. To me, LJs is about sharing ideas and knowledge, so I am happy to help when I can, especially since I have learned so much from fellow LJS.
