I’ve made a ton of these over the years. The men are made of 4×4 posts and scrap wood. The USMC bulldog is just scrap pine. I just finished up the first female one but haven’t taken a picture yet….will post one soon. I got the initial patterns from Meisel Hardware and have just modified each one a little differently.

Outstanding! Is this your design or did you purchase. Would love to build a couple of sailors for service friends. What a great project.

I bought the initial pattern from Meisel Hardware.com. Look under post people or military post people…..something like that. For the Sailors, I recommend turning out the hats vice useing flat stock…notice the difference in the picture of the 3 guys and the 2 next to the fire place. Everyone I’ve made one for says they are the best gifts and are always talking about them.

These are too cool. I’m Ex-Navy and have family member who is a First Sargent in the US Army back over seas for his last tour before retiring. This would be a great present. Going to have to look into this. Thx for the post! Well done.

Just looked at there web page, what does the kit include? I really like this.

Just ordered the plans from Meisel Hardware ($14.95 plus 6.95 shipping) and it has four services and includes the fly-fly guys.

I didn’t get anything other than the plans for the men but for the women I got 3 half balls…..2 for the boobs and 1 for the hair bun.

These are really nice and very unusual. I’d say this is very creative.
