Custom Bar with Phoenix Intarsia Wall Art

This is a bar i built for my brothers basement.
The bar top is quarter sawn oak, walnut, and padauk in a mitered geometric pattern.
I also created a phoenix intarsia as a center piece for the wall above the back bar.
The phoenix is made of oak, walnut, padauk, cherry, and poplar.

That top looks like it was fun to make. Looks great with the different wood. The wall hanging looks terrific. Thanks for sharing.

That’s great. I must admit that I normally think intarsia looks silly & cartoonish to me but you’ve just changed my mind that great things can be created using the technique given the right imagination. Thanks!
