hey gang – this design features peruvian walnt , with curly maple and purple heart accents . the joinery is incra double dovetail , consisting of a single joint for each side . tray is through doves and all tops and bottoms are rabbeted in . hinged with woodcraft economy quadrants . sanding was light and finish was 10 coats of blo as we wanted to maintain the rustic warmth of the walnut – thanks for looking

Very Nice. My daughter wants me to make three valets. They won’t be this fancy but you have given me a couple ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Much to admire in this box. Obviously a lot of planning, and it shows.

Good use of just one joint a side, it gives it a nice clean look. Great choice of woods also…that walnut looks so rich…makes you want to pick this up. Thanks for sharing.

thanks for all the great comments – we had to move the shop into my house for $$$ reasons and i now spend alot of time “playing” with new ideas rather than do my work and go home – kinda nice!
