This was another christmas present. For my wife’s grandfather, who also happens to be a Methodist Mininster.
The pen is make from olive wood that I secured from jerusalem. The box is a box joint box I made from red oak, using a shop made jig. I lined the interior using velour, and foam. Funny thing about the Olive wood, is that it make the wood shop smell like someone was frying with olive oil, and the smell lingers. It’s so full of oil that it almost burnishes it self while your turning it.

Well what do you think?

Very nice package. Should be well received! Never turned Olive wood yet, want to but always seems to be a bit costly. Thanks for sharing!
