this box is made from walnut and Catalpa (the top edges and base). I finished it with many hand rubbed coats of poly-urathane followed with paste wax and buffing. Another gift, it was given as a wedding keepsake box for a good friend of mine.

The lines really stand out, nice. It looks like sand on a beach or ripples in a wave.
