I did not have a pattern for this I kinda just had a bunch of mermaid pictures and sorta just put her together using them all. She has been my avatar and A.K.A. on a couple places. I hold a special place for her in my heart as most of the wood on her came from the remains of a house fire. Her body was the side of a drawer of a dresser and her hair came from the fire also but what from was unrecognizable. I like to just say she is made out of Allison’s “mystery wood” woodpile! Her bottom fin however I do know is green poplar. I also messed around with her a bit as you can see she has stickers for her eyes and hair decorations. At one time she sat in the middle of a 15 gallon empty show fish tank that I had, and I put a whole bunch of fish that I have made out of wood hanging from the top. I have to admit I got more compliments off that aquarium than anything I have ever made. I even made the shells at the bottom of the tank. I took it apart to move it to a different location in my home and just have not put it back together again ,mainly because of the holidays but now that all the decorations are getting stowed away for another year I plan on setting it back up again. I have since made her a couple sisters but she’s still my favorite. When I am done setting it up I would love to share it here.

Do more original work, it allows your personality to show. Very good.
