This was first foray into real woodworking. I built this project on a small benchtop table saw and a few other simple tools for a neighbours bathroom. It is a medicine cabinet that was originally intended to be stained poplar from Wood magazine but I made some changes to the design to suit my needs. I raised the panel and made the door rails and stiles on the table saw.

That’s a slick looking raised panel for table saw work. I think you might deserve a shaper as a reward for this project! I really like ash, although I’ve only used it to make mallet heads. I like the fat, symmetrical growth rings. This project inspires me to seek some out.
