Animal Christmas decorations

Every year my friend requests a different wild animal species for the tree, a lot of cutting, glueing, sanding, cutting, glueing and some more sanding (mini belt sander)

I agree, a welcome breath of fresh air; a bit of a change from the typical project. The dolphin looks like it might just swim away :-)

Beautiful as always! How many separate pieces of wood make up a piece like the toucan? Your ornaments are like intarsia in 3-D!
