One of three heart shaped redwood bowls that I made for Mothers day. The other is a free form shape I wanted to try just to see if I could do it. I also have an unfinished oval in the growing unfinished project pile. I used a jigsaw, to cut the basic shape and a router with a core box bit for the inside and a large round over on the outside. Then sandpaper and chisel. Finished with linseed oil

Thank you guys. I have another one to post when I take a photo. It’s a free form design, wanted to see if I could do it. I accidentally made it look like an electric guitar body with no neck. I can’t put a neck on it because the end where it goes is just to complex. But I do want to make a guitar shaped bowl. After making these bowls I want a pin router.

Darrell,
Those are really neat…love the way the grain shows…kind of looks like the earth layers in the Grand Canyon!
