Mathildes Christmas gifts
daughter’s and fathers!

My sweet daughter Mathilda asked me if we could go in the work shop and do some presents for her mother’s family, and I was of course more than happy for this proposal!

1. Like father like daughter! (or what they say…) ok there was no tobacco in the pipe.
2. Band saw cutting the shapes.
3. Freehand shaping on the Supersander.
4. Linseed oil, and patience after the sanding.
5. A heart for her mother, and waves for the mother’s sister, both are trivets for the dinner table.
6. Sure makes father proud in a very un-political way!

We had a wonderful time there together, a few hours of ‘doing’ suspended in time – precious moments.

At schools wood class Mathilda had made presents for me:

This one sure stole my heart, and will get a place in the entrance!

And look here! Lap joints freehand! My oh my! I’m so proud (even a wooden flag)!!!

Thank you my sweet daughter for a wonderful time, and for the best presents I ever had!

Here are the present I made for her at the workshop: Mathildes hearts box
Hope it can be to some inspiration, to others to bring the kids to the work shop,

Best thoughts,

Your father

I’m glad Dennis mentioned the unplugged. I feel a lot better now. Warm hearted pictures, but beware Mads, you might find it difficult to get the use of your shop later.

Mafe, nice posting but what really caught my eye was that tool tote next to your daughter on the first picture. Did you make that? That is nice, it has form to it. I also like the fish handled knife you did a ways back. Great projects.

Hi guys’n girl,
Flemming, thank you! No PM’s, I was also afraid that I could have stepped in the spinnach… We don’t all have the same sence of humor, but Mathilda and I do.
Napoleon, just see you sms me, have not had the time, the vintage architect have been swing a ball dress with my daughter today! Yes you read me right, and to be honest I’m proud, we have made a beautiful dress, she will look just wonderful, and you cant imagine how proud she is, that we manage to make this our selfs. Say hello to the little Napoleon from us.
Plantek, nu it dont get better than that.
twokidsnosleep, don’t worry she hates smoke, so I never smoke in the house.
Richard, thank you! You can see the tool tote on this blog: I can see I forgot to post it when it was done… Will do soon.
Thomas, ;-)
Stefang, one day it will all be hers, so it will not help me to fight her… In the mean while I’ll step back to a sirtain point and then show her who is the father! Laugh.
Trevor, it’s a hair fine balance to inspire, a little to much they run away / a little to little they stay away… But I’m a old donkey full of love for my daughter, so I’ll never give up.
Kelly, woody woman world!
Dennis, ;-)
Ken, YES.
David, I’m one lucky father, her mother says our souls are the same (and she is right) – and I’m happy she got her mothers look, she would look kind of stupid with my beard…
Cozmo, with out a doubt.
Best thoughts to all of you,
Mathilda and Mads

A daughter in the shop, learning the importance of patience from dad. I love it. Looking forward to seeing more projects from Mathilda.
