I had to post my latest project another jewelry box but this one is for a special person and signifying a very special occasion. It’s for my daughter-in-law Andrea and the birth of my 1st Grandson, Santino Romeo Struhar. The sides and top are Curley Maple and the bottom is Cedar. Finished with 8 finger rubbed coats of Fromby’s Tung oil and 6 coats of Briwax. When I applied the Briwax I heated the wood slightly with a hair dryer then vigorously finger rubbed the wax on until it dried and shined. This seemed to brighten the finish considerably. Enjoy

First, congratulations on the grandson! Two, that is a very nice box that will be treasured for many years. Third, I love the grain in the wood. Fourth, I like the slide show. Did I say it was a nice box?
