This is the Personalized Figured Maple Side Table that I created to accompany my Custom Figured Maple Rocking Chair. I must say that they look quite nice together. The lines of this custom side table flow from part to the next creating the feeling that the side table is all one. The legs ware they meat the top are sculpted in the shape of a cleat that one sees on the dock to secure a boat with a rope. The cleat at the top looks as if it is bent over. The top bent over cleat makes a handy handle for moving the Custom Side Table.

This is really interesting. A bit rustic and elegant at the same time. Well done.

What Tim29 said. What are the inset medallions made from?

Certainly a thing of beauty and I just can’t get enough of the cleated legs!
A perfect complement to the matching rocking chair.
Well done!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments in response to my Custom Figured Maple Side Table. The ornamental inlays are made out of non furious metals and the black around the various non furious metals is pigmented epoxy resin.

Very nice table!
The choice of wood goes well together and the joinery very different and pleasant.
Great job.
Have your say...
