I made a simple little coat/hat hanger for my neighbor this xmas. The lumber was a piece of water oak from his back yard, which I fixed to a piece of pine. I routed the edge of the board with a Roman ogee bit, and used a keyhole bit to make holes in the back for hanging. The hooks are from Target. The oak is a bit wild, but has a nice look to it. Overall, it was a quick and easy project that made for a good gift.
