My Granddaughter is into calligraphy and reading and wanted a small writing table/desk that covered both interests. This is my first attempt. Sealed it with shellac and finished with poly with final coat of wax.

Wow, very cool. The design is simple but very elegant. I love how the bookstand doubles as a writing pad.

Very nice project. I wonder if the back part opens on the top for storage or maybe drawers on either or each side? It would seem to lend itself to all of the above additions.

oldskoolmodder….....When I build another like this it will be larger and I will add a drawer or two in the front. The ends of the top organizer open and have hinged lids in place in the photo. There is a surge protector mounted to the rear apron for her laptop and other electronics.
