The wood this bowl is made of just escaped the fire pile. It was an oblong piece with the pith still intact and one could only see a hint of crotch because the piece was still buck sawn. I am glad I took a closer look before casting it into the flames. 13” Diameter.

good save. I like the fact you turned it simply, with the large rim to highlight the figure.
