Cherry Hurricane Lamp Bases

I turned these cherry hurricane bases as Christmas gifts for two of my sister-in-laws.
The bases are about 6” in diameter and 3-1/4” tall.
Sanded to 600 and finished with several coats of spray laquer.
Glass hurricanes were purchased from Michaels craft store

Nice gift. I have a few hurricanes that I have picked up at a rummage sale. Might have to try turning bases once I get my lathe set up. Thanks for the idea.

OK, got it on the project list. Thanks for sharing. Is the base with the green candle a bit top-heavy with that narrow foot? Just curious.
