Our weight room at the firehouse didn’t have a coat rack for some reason. A gentleman who uses it regularly donated 4 hooks. The original thought was to mount just the hooks, but that would look bad so we thought about buying a piece of wood and hooks combo just to throw up there. I took the opportunity to get some woodworking in and told them I’d use the donated hooks and make a piece to put them on. The “bar has been cut down to about 48”x 3 1/3”. Outside hooks are placed roughly 6” in and they are spaced about 12” apart from eachother. The “bar” is anchored into the wall with the screws hiding behind the hooks. There are 4 anchors so I hope it holds just fine. I used a roman ogee router bit for the edges and a poly finish. Thanks for looking.
