This is a drop spindle i made for my wife to turn wool into yarn. The whorl is spalted beech and the upright is a walnut dowel rod.
Once she started spinning yarn, she needed somewhere to store it until the next stage. So i made her a set of Knitty Noddys. These are red oak with with johnson’s wax finish.
