Now that the holidays are over, Its time to document our projects for ourselves and for others to see and enjoy. This is the first of several projects I made for my family.
I found out in advance that my brother and fellow LJ ken was getting a kuerig single serve coffee maker. For those who are unfamiliar with this machine, it is a single cup coffee brewer that uses individual single use dispensing cups/pods. They also offer counter top cup/pod holders to hold a variety of flavors etc. I figured I could make a prettier holder. This is actually a reclamation project of a completely messed up jewelry box I was working on. It is a simple frame and panel design. Made from cherry and a lacewood veneer panel. The base is a scrap piece of tiger maple to add some contrast. The holes drilled in the panels are 1.5 inch the cups are actually 1 3/4 but I didn’t have a bit of that size. The cups friction fit fine anyway. Since part of this project was already started it was a quick one day build. Love that. Hope you like.

Nice idea…I really like The lacewood. I am sure this will be much appreciated.

Very nice, like that you were able to reuse wood from another project; looks great and will work out awesomely!
