While I had a very small amount of idle time last week, I tried to keep my Scrolling “Chops” tuned by doing a bunch of smaller projects – most of which I gave out as Holiday gifts.
Pic 2 – Closeup of my scrolled Reindeer – he is WAY cute and was given to my Mother-in-Law.
Pic 3 – The group of ornaments and Reindeer – one Reindeer in Cherry and the other Walnut
Pic 4 – Closeup of some 3-D Ornaments done with Steve Good’s plans he posted a couple of weeks ago. From top to bottom – Walnut, Cherry, Cherry & Walnut. I gave one to my Wife’s Family, My Mom & Dad, my Sister’s Family and my Brother’s Family. These were a big hit all around – thanks Steve!
The last two pics show my version of an M.C. Escher WoodBlock called “White Cat”. It’s on 1/8” thick Solid Cherry and measures just around 4 inches square. As usual I soaked it in lemon oil and attached it to a thick felt background. I gave this to no one – I’m holding on to it for now. :-)
