Well, it is getting to be time to be putting seeds into starter planters and since I do a lot of starter plants I decided it was time to make myself a proper Dibbler. Usually I use a pencil to dibble, but I decided this year to make something that fit my hand nicely to make it easier.
The dibbler is made out of Mahogany it is 8 inches long 1 ½ inches in diameter and the point is marked in ½ inch depths to help in determining how deep the seed hole is. I have a couple of coats of paste wax on it for protection, and look forward to it’s inaugural use next weekend.

Nice. I could have used one of those when I was a kid crawling along the corn rows replaciing the seeds the pheasants ate ;-))

What a wealth of knowledge on this forum – I now know what a dibbler is. It’s a bad day when you don’t learn something.
