I made this for my wife, it’s made from pine.mounted on a twisted stick, with a 1/2 dowel rod in to the stick and bottom of the bird house.i added wood for the nose so it would be more demonsaional. the hole in the mouth is 1 inch ,this one was made just for home decoration. We have a larger 1 hung in a tree with a 1-1/4 opening, one side of the roof hinges on the 1 outside wren’s and chicadees use it ever year.

That is a very interesting piece. Can you post larger photos so that we can see the detail a little better?

Hi Robert,

Women get bird houses, guys get dog houses. Go figure.

Great carving job, and a neat idea!

That is a very whimsical birdhouse.
