I found two of these sewing machine bases at an estate sale for $10 a piece!!!!!! One even came with a WHITE MARBLE TOP!!!!!!!! $200 dollars worth of marble and 2 antique sewing machine stands for $20! I couldn’t believe it! Anyway, back to the project. They were both in TERRIBLE shape. Rusted badly. I sanded the bases with my dremel and repainted. This is one table that I built with the stands. This was built for my wife for christmas. I didn’t have anywhere to hide it until then so I gave it to her a few days early. Built with 1/2” plywood that I found that was being thrown away. A full sheet! This deal just kept getting better and better. Used antique drawer pulls from some old cabinet doors. Walnut stain, then finished with wax so that way when she is sewing the material will slide easily across the top. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the other table with the marble top. I finished it for my mom for christmas. She sews also and really loved it. Hopefully I can snap some pictures of it next time I’m at my moms. They both turned out really well. I was very pleased. Hope you all enjoy.
