I made this spoon for my first Niece, she is 6 months old. The handle is oak. The wood came from a tree in my parents yard that was killed by lightning the night before my sisters wedding. I do not know what made the pattern in the wood it was there when I cut into the lumber. I treated the handles with Waterlox. Thanks for looking.

It looks great! Is it stainless steel or Silver? Where did you get the spoon, I really like the form.

Very nice. That is something that will remain in the family for generations.

-- I've never seen a tree that I wouldn't like to repurpose into a project. I love the smell of wood in the morning - it smells like victory.
