A gift for my Nephew – it was perfect, he loved it.

Idea came from SgtSnafu
Who got the idea from VillageWood

Thanks for the cool inspiration!

Made from a scrap of Angelim flooring (the base) and piece of Hickory (I think?) for the clock mount and some 1-1/4” dowels.

Thanks for looking.

Just don’t let the TSA see that thing!

Your fun project turned out great! I’ve got to make one of these for my nephew and maybe one for a friend with the FBI. Both of them will get a “Bang” out of it. I just might add a couple blasting caps.

Probably best not to pack it in carry-on luggage…

Jeff, I made several of these for Christmas in 2009. I sent several through the mail, while holding my breath that they would not cause trouble. Nothing came of it, fortunately. The only problem I have had is that when people see one of them I start getting requests for more. Bet this will happen to you as well. Anyhow, I am sure your nephew was pleased.

Where’d you get that clock face? I like the square ones!

Great project! I’m sure he loved it!

Real cute! However, hope the BATFE doesn’t hear about it. I know of a story where a guy had a legal deactivated hand grenade (WW II vintage). The BATFE raided his house, shot him in the head and carried off his wife in her underwear. They didn’t apologize for the mistake.

Is that a promise Knothead. If I make one will the BATFE carry my wife off? I’ll get started making one tomorrow!

Hey Condor – good point – but there’s still that “shot him in the head” deal…..........

My new shop clock design. Always cut the red wire. I love it.
