Wooden vase or candle holder, inspired by wooden chess figure (Rook). Mainly designed as a dry flower vase, later during the build I realized it can be used as a candle torch. Glue joints, top 4 layers are glued miter joints (octagons), the bottom 2 pieces are full chunks of Oak and Eucalyptus.

Awesome as a Roolk or candle holder – good wood contrast

This is very well done and I know that you must have had a good time making it.

A nice candle,if it’s call ‘rook’ (It means smoke in dutch).
I hope it’s lives a little bit longer with candle ;-)
I love it…

At first I thought you were starting a giant chess set! Very nice project – original too. Thanks for sharing!
