This was my first major project. I began milling the lumber in the summer of ‘09 (Isabella was born in December). All of the wood is red oak, donated by a family friend. The bed is all mortise and tenon, glued and pegged. All the curves were duplicated with a router template (still working on my hand tool skills). I used a Rockler mortise centering jig for the rails and some homemade jigs for the top rails and gate panel. The finish is a Cabot stain and Minwax rub-on poly. Made a lot of mistakes during the process, but learned a lot about how to do it better, next time.

I love it. Excellent work. I can only imagine how long it took to fit that many mortise and tenons.

Hey Josh, looks like there is a little cutie owns it now & appreciates the love & care that went into it’s making,
you know of course that this will likely become a family airloom.
Nice job

Beautiful looking crib and baby. You did an excellent job on the crib. Thanks for sharing. I just did a crib for my first granddaughter later this summer. I know the joy you had making the crib.
God Bless
