Here are two trivets I made as Christmas gifts for my family, using Maple and Walnut for the frames. The stone in the middle is 4” square marble about 1/4” thick. I started with rough 4/4 lumber and hand milled and re-sawed to make the small strips for the frames. I used hand tools primarily in this project and it was a very rewarding experience. The miter keys are all hand cut and add a unique look to the project. Thanks for looking.

very nice job. Great use of the walnut to accent the tile. Love the keys.
