I would love to say that this cutting board took much planning, time, and patience to make, and version 1.0 did I had it set up and ready to glue but I forgot to clearly mark it as mine before i left the shop. I came back the next day and found the pieces to it in about 4 other boards. Crest fallen i wanted to give up but it was a grade so i was forced to continue. So i grabbed random boards and glued them together. The next day i plane it cut it in to about 1 in. pieces. then i laid it out with the end one standing up and pasted the rest with glue and flipped every other one i clamped it and left it over night. I came back from the week end and chipped off all the glue i spent three days sanding it and finally finished it with some mineral oil.

Wow. you scored a nice piece on the ends with that irregular sapwood/heartwood. Makes for cool looking triangle effect.

Cool Cutting Board, your story cut off though :(

I actually have a piece of purple heart that I picked up specifically to make into a cutting board because it’s go a cool triangular white streak down it. what are all the woods used?

Have your say...
