Christmas Toy Kitchen

Project by scopemonkey posted 706 days ago 654 views 5 times favorited 15 comments Add to Favorites Watch

My kids (age 3.5 and 6) love to play “kitchen” after watching the food network channel. They wanted their own setup….so….I’ll surprise them with this tomorrow morning. Just finished in time. I sure hate painting. Oil/varnish finish on MDF just wouldn’t have fit in with my daughter’s color schemes! A friend donated the towels at the last minute, so I whipped out the towel rack last night from some scraps. At least there’s something with some natural grain, even if it is oak scraps. It still needs the adjustable ‘fridge shelf, but I can’t find my shelf pins.

That is too cool! I remember when my girls were that age and I built something similar, but not that elaborate. They will really have a good time with it. I like the color.

I know some kids that are going to be very busy in the kitchen this Christmas…LOL Excellent job, they will love it. Haven’t me a kid yet that didn’t love to play with a kitchen set at those ages. Way to go Santa!

I saw this on the random feature pics and it really caught my attention! I’ve been thinking about a kitchen project for my daughter. Thanks for sharing. Great design and execution.
